BABY DEDICATIONS
We believe children are a gift from God! One of the ways we can show God our gratitude for this precious gift is by dedicating our children to Him! This belief is further explained as follows:
1. Children are a gift from God.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14
2. God has a purpose and a plan for each of His children.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10.
3. Parents AND LEGAL GUARDIANS have a responsibility to teach their children about God.
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, why you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7
In having your child dedicated, you are:
1. Receiving your children from God with a heart of thanksgiving.
2. Asking that God’s will be revealed and released in the lives of your children.
3. Accepting responsibility and committing yourself to a personal relationship with Jesus and to raising your children in the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
